Charge Registered Nurse – Main Operating Room Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shift

We’re seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership within a busy Main Operating Room. This is an excellent opportunity for a perioperative nursing professional who enjoys leading teams, coordinating surgical operations, and delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Main OR operations and patient flow

• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff

• Ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered perioperative care

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams

• Mentor staff and support professional development

• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Promote compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Active California RN License
  
  
• BLS – AHA
  
  
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience with demonstrated leadership abilities

• 2+ years of recent Peri-Anesthesia RN experience
  
  
• Acute care hospital experience

• Operating Room/Perioperative nursing experience

• RN leadership experience

• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire

Preferred

• Charge Nurse experience

• Main Operating Room experience

• Perioperative Services leadership

• EMR experience

• Staff mentoring and quality improvement experience
