Tractor Mechanic - Direct Hire
Location: Corcoran, CA
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: 45-60 hours per week | 12 days on, 2 days off
Employment Type: Direct Hire


Hire Up Staffing is seeking a skilled and experienced Tractor Mechanic for a reputable agricultural company in Corcoran, CA. This is an excellent Direct Hire opportunity for a mechanic who enjoys diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of agricultural and off-road equipment.
Job Summary
The Tractor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel and gas-powered agricultural equipment, including tractors, harvesters, construction equipment, stationary engines, and portable irrigation pumps. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in both shop and field environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas-powered agricultural and off-road equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, air, A/C, and computer-controlled systems.
• Utilize diagnostic analyzers and computer-based software to identify equipment issues.
• Service and repair air conditioning systems in accordance with industry standards.
• Travel to field locations to perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Accurately complete maintenance reports, repair records, and other technical documentation.
• Follow verbal and written instructions while maintaining clear communication with supervisors and team members.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Diesel Technology program (minimum 1.5 years) or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience working on agricultural equipment, tractors, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems preferred.
• A/C certification and experience servicing air conditioning systems preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage field service assignments.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
• Regular use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, and operating tools and equipment.
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder level.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
