Brake Press OperatorPro Resources is seeking a Brake Press Operator for a client in Avilla, IN. The Brake Press Operator is responsible for the daily fabrication operation. Position includes fabricating a variety of metals to our customers' specifications. Position, align, and fit parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications and using jigs, welding torches and hand tools.Shift and Compensation 1st Shift Monday-Thursday 6-4 PM + Possible OT on Friday Compensation is from $43,680 to $56,160 per yearJob DutiesMaintain a safe work environment in your area. Ensure that you are wearing the proper PPE, the equipment in your area, (grinders, machinery, welders, hand tools, etc.) are all safe to be used and properly guarded. Notify safety coordinator or Shop Superintendent of any unsafe equipment or practices.Work in compliance with OSHA safety rules.Keep your area clean and organized.Set up and operate hydraulic presses and shear equipment for established work.Select correct tooling, load, install and correctly set up the tools required to produce the correct bends and cuts required per customer order specifications.Great Math skills used for set up from prints to break press and shearPerform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues.Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.Perform basic dimensional measuring using measurement tools.Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.Follow oral and written directions.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.Background ProfileHigh School diploma, GED or equivalentThree (3) year experience fabricating.Possessing a solid understanding of welding equipment and welding accessoriesRead, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions
