General Surgery Clinical Fellow, Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery Posting Start Date: 04/14/26 Work Arrangement: Onsite Current UC employees must apply internally via SuccessFactors. Job Overview The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, in partnership with UC Health and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, invites applications for two (2) full‑time Clinical Instructor positions in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery. These one‑year fellowship positions focus on trauma, acute care, and critical care surgery. Essential Functions Perform clinical duties in surgical critical care, trauma, and emergency general surgery under the supervision of attending surgeons. Assist in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows rotating on the division’s services. Attend departmental and divisional meetings, including grand rounds, morbidity and mortality (M&M) reviews, SICU M&M, and trauma PI meetings. Minimum Requirements Ohio Medical License Medical Degree (MD/DO) Completion of a 5‑year residency in Surgery Completion of a 1‑year ACGME‑accredited fellowship in surgical critical care Board certification in Surgery Board eligibility or certification in Surgical Critical Care Physical Requirements / Work Environment Office environment; no unusual physical or environmental demands.
