As a Maintenance Director, you will play a key role in providing exceptional long-term care, sub-acute care, and memory care. Your strong skills and commitment to resident-centered care will help us meet the evolving needs of those we serve. RESPONSIBILITIES Including, but not limited to: The Director of Maintenance reports to the Nursing Home Administrator. The Director of Maintenance is responsible for ongoing and preventative maintenance of all of the facility's buildings and grounds. Identify current and future maintenance needs; resource planning. This role also ensures the effectiveness of waste disposal, snow removal and pest control. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive resident care in our facilities. All other duties as assigned. SKILLS Experience in Long Term Care or other Health Care Facility is a must. Qualified candidates possess the ability to perform routine mechanical and structural repairs and a working knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations; OSHA Standards and Life Safety Codes are required. Adherence to the principles of resident rights, resident and employee confidentiality, EEO and ADA required. Supervisory experience preferred. Candidates should show evidence of creativity, organizational skills and cheerful personality. Previous experience in long-term care or other healthcare setting is a must. Experience working with Alzheimer's/Dementia patients a plus. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, resident and company proprietary information. Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels. Must possess computer skills of the types and at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Knowledge of HIPPA, and state and federal regulations. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
