Corewell Health is offering a sign‑on bonus of up to $20,000 for this RN position in the Post‑Surgical Unit A2, a 24‑bed unit that handles a variety of surgical cases including bariatric, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and supports post‑surgical pediatric patients. Scope of Work The RN will utilize the nursing process framework to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient‑family centered care principles through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge. The RN will provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures, recognizing the impact of nursing care and patient‑family partnerships on outcomes. The RN will partner with patients and families to incorporate their input and goals into the plan of care, develop teaching strategies, and document education and learning in the health record. Qualifications Associates in Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing obtained within the last 5 years Graduates from a non‑accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and have passed the NCLEX licensure examination Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA within the last 2 years Employment Details Primary Location: Lakeland Hospital, Niles – 31 N St. Joseph Ave – Niles Department: Med Surg Care Unit – Surgical A2 – Niles and St. Joseph Hospital Employment Type: Full time Shift: Night (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.) Weekly Hours: 36 Variable weekend schedule: every other weekend Benefits Comprehensive benefits package designed to meet financial, health, and work/life balance goals.
