Warehouse WorkerThe primary role of a warehouse worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.ResponsibilitiesReceive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.Essential SkillsVerbal and written communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving ability.Team player and detail-oriented.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective security operations.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.2-4 years of experience required, with previous titles such as Material Handler.Why Work Here?Join a team that values hard work and dedication, offering a collaborative environment where each employee's efforts contribute to the overall success. The dress code is practical for warehouse activities, ensuring comfort and safety while on the job.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
