Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Shift: Days (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: No Job Summary $20,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible applicants! Weekender premium 7a‑730p Sat/Sun/Mon This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Tech I, and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role to include X-ray Tech II based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Perform standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques. Operate all equipment within the modality, including setting up and adjusting immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices. Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology during examinations. Assist physicians with various procedures. Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs. Maintain related records and notations. Assist in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required. Participate in the educational training of students. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job‑specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Education Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required). Experience & Credentials Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body, Certified Radiology Technologist – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Skills Communication, Organizing, Preceptor Skills, Radiology.
