Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Machine Operator at a metal trim manufacturing company. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized machinery such as the Shear, Slitter, and Metal Folder (Brake Press) to produce high-quality metal trim for industrial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings that include angles, bends, and quantities.
• Enter drawing details into Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
• Place 10 ft metal strips into the machine for precise bends and cuts.
• Maneuver materials for each bend and step efficiently.
• Stack finished materials after completion.
• Assist in the shipping and packing area when not operating machines.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operation, particularly with brake presses.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately.
• Experience with tape measure usage.
• Capability to lift and maneuver 10 ft long sheet metal pieces, up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Sheet metal experience is advantageous.
• Experience with production goals and maintaining quality standards.
• Previous experience with Brake Press preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and spacious plant, designed for optimal workflow. The facility is semi-climate controlled with air movers, providing comfort during shifts. The shift hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, including two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The company will relocate from Nashville to Columbia/Mt. Pleasant, TN in late November 2026. The move at end of November is due to rapid growth and to expand the company. You'll have an opportunity to take on more responsibility and grow with the company as they expand.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
