Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitizing: Cleaning offices, restrooms, hallways, and classrooms, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing.
• Waste Removal: Emptying trash cans, replacing liners, and disposing of waste.
• Maintenance & Security: Locking/unlocking doors, monitoring building security, and performing minor repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs).
• Inventory & Equipment: Operating, cleaning, and maintaining custodial machinery; managing cleaning supply inventories.
• Setup & Support: Setting up furniture and equipment for meetings and events.
• Exterior Care: Sweeping sidewalks and removing debris.

• Experience: Previous experience in custodial work or facility maintenance is often preferred.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds), stand for long periods, and perform, bending, and reaching.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and safety procedures.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and basic mechanical aptitude

• Work is typically performed indoors but may include outdoor work (e.g., snow removal).
• Must be comfortable working with cleaning agents and in various weather conditions.
