Psychiatrist Summary Job Title: Psychiatrist Specialty: Psychiatry Location: Sonora, CA Summary We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services in a clinical setting. As a key member of the behavioral health team, this role is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions. The Psychiatrist will play a critical role in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care and collaborative treatment planning. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services when necessary Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Participate in quality improvement and performance initiativesEnsure compliance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and treatment plans Participate in professional development and maintain active licensure Qualifications & Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in Psychiatry Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active California medical license Current DEA registration Current BLS or ACLS certification preferred Experience with electronic health record systems preferred Strong understanding of psychiatric diagnostic and treatment methodologies Must pass Occupational Health Screening Must meet employment eligibility requirements (I-9 verification) Clean driving record may be required Schedule Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Setting Outpatient clinical setting Benefits Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 403(b) retirement plan Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays Student Loan Repayment eligibility (HRSA/IHS) Direct student loan contribution programs Continuing Education reimbursement and licensure support Work-life balance with consistent weekday schedule EEO Statement - Tribal Health is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
