Our organization is looking for a full-time Pathologist to become part of our team of 24 board-certified pathologists across the network. We handle an impressive volume of over 4 million test results annually, which includes around 50,000 surgical pathology cases. Our facility proudly supports a pathology residency program at the Danbury Campus and hosts PA students from a local university at both our Norwalk and Danbury locations. Additionally, we are a teaching affiliate of a prominent university, offering ranked academic appointments. Our expanding cancer institute provides a diverse array of intriguing cases.

This role is situated at our Danbury Hospital campus in Danbury, Connecticut, approximately 70 miles from New York City in lower Fairfield County. This is an employed position within our medical practice. We provide a competitive base salary along with incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes paid time off, a CME allowance with time off, and a 401k plan with matching contributions.

The successful candidate will serve as a staff pathologist at a community hospital that features a cancer program and a broad spectrum of clinical services, all part of a comprehensive health system.

• MD or DO degree with completion of AP/CP residency training.
• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology is mandatory.
• Candidates with subspecialty training and/or relevant experience are highly encouraged to apply.
• We welcome applications from both seasoned pathologists and those currently in fellowship programs.
• Strong communication skills are essential, along with a keen interest in collaborating with clinicians and laboratory personnel. Proficiency in performing frozen sections, interpreting cytology (both GYN and non-GYN), conducting rapid on-site cytology assessments, and occasional autopsies is required.
• Possession of a CT and NY State Medical License or eligibility to obtain an unrestricted medical license is necessary.

Full-Time Salary Range: $325,000 - $360,000 annually, based on experience.

Per Diem opportunities are also available at a rate of $225/hour.
