Be in possession of or be in the process of applying for the Reading Endorsement or have passed Praxis 5203 (Teaching Reading: Elementary Education). Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions. Be willing to serve on teams that require constant collaboration. Relate to and teach students with diverse backgrounds. Teach students with special needs and English Language Learners. Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role. As a Teacher you will: Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, and provide individualized and small‑group instruction to meet each student’s needs. Manage an organized and professional classroom conducive to learning and the whole‑child development. Foster a cooperative and respectful partnership with families, encouraging parent involvement through observations and volunteer opportunities. Actively engage at‑risk students, using appropriate instructional strategies for all learners, including special needs and English Language Learners. Recognize individual students’ needs and provide support and flexibility as needed. Work as part of a diverse team of educators and administrators to achieve district goals. Utilize technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process. Implement High Scope curriculum and Conscious Discipline practices with fidelity. Capture data using a wide range of tools, analyze it, and use it to drive differentiated instruction. Support and remain patient with preschool students as they learn social‑emotional skills.
