Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac MRI technologist (CMRI) must demonstrate the ability and the competency to provide imaging services utilizing Magnetic Resonance medical equipment. The CMRI technologist performs a variety of MRI procedures, invasive and non-invasive on a variety of patients in doing so the CMRI technologist is required to utilize sterile technique if necessary, operating complex MRI equipment and assist physicians as needed. The CMRI technologist is responsible for the acquisition and manipulation of computer data and images for cardiac interpretation, and utilization of a networking system for permanent storage. This position will function without constant supervision. Independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative are essential. Responsibility for designated areas and procedures is assumed. The CMRI technologist is responsible for the safety of patients and staff in the CMRI suite, and implemental in patient CMRI screening. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certified
• AART and/or ARMRIT registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Documentation of attendance for advanced CMRI training via conference or other course completion
• 2 years experience in a multi-disciplined radiology dept or have approved experienced gained through a clinical education program in MRI
• Graduate from a JRCERT accredited radiography program
