Travel Registered Nurse PCU

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports a high-acuity oncology population requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, advanced nursing interventions, and interdisciplinary coordination within a leading cancer center environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This opportunity is ideal for experienced PCU nurses comfortable managing complex patients, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac drips in a fast-paced hospital setting.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Contract Length: 1316 weeks

Shift: Night shift, 3x12 (36 hours/week)

Schedule: Self-scheduling (no block scheduling)

Patient Population: Adult & geriatric

EMR: Epic

COMPENSATION

Gross: $2,359 per week

W2: $24.50 per hour

Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

CLINICAL FOCUS

High-acuity PCU / Stepdown care

Continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring

Cardiac drips and IV medication management

Oncology patient population

Interdisciplinary care coordination

UNIT HIGHLIGHTS

James Cancer Hospital environment

PCU ratios typically 1:3 (may flex to 1:4)

Mixed acuity oncology population

Exposure to Med-Surg Tele and PCU Oncology units

REQUIREMENTS

Active RN license (compact or Ohio) REQUIRED

Minimum 2+ years of high-acuity PCU or higher experience REQUIRED

Telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience REQUIRED

ACLS REQUIRED

BLS REQUIRED

NIHSS REQUIRED

Epic experience REQUIRED

Ability to float within scope REQUIRED

Prior travel experience preferred
