Founded by Tzurit Or in 2007, Tatte Bakery began in a home kitchen and at Boston farmers markets before opening its first caf in Brookline, Massachusetts. What started as a small neighborhood bakery has grown into a beloved brand with cafs throughout Greater Boston, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and now the Tri-State area. While each caf has its own unique personality, all are rooted in the same original spirit of Tatte: a welcoming place to gather, feel at home, and find inspiration, comfort, and joy.

We are looking for Counter Team Members to help us open our Gramercy caf! Our front of house team members welcome and care for guests in our cafs. Counter Team Members play an important role in delivering genuine hospitality, sharing product knowledge, supporting smooth caf operations, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. We expect our front of house team members to:

• Bring warm, welcoming, and engaging communication skills to every guest interaction
• Have a passion for and strong knowledge of our coffee menu, bakery, and savory offerings, along with genuine hospitality
• Work collaboratively and support the team wherever needed
• Live Tatte's core values and help support our mission
• Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings
• Ideally, have prior experience working in a fast paced caf, restaurant, or hospitality environment

Summary of Counter Team Members' Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide gracious and high quality service to guests throughout their caf experience
• Welcome guests, answer questions, and guide guests through menu offerings
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products
• Take guest orders using the point-of-sale system/register
• Execute all product packaging and presentation standards
• Deliver food and beverages to guests with hospitality and care
• Maintain clean, organized, and well stocked caf stations
• Support caf cleanliness and uphold visual and brand standards
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and operational procedures at all times
• Support caf operations and assist with additional tasks as needed
• Other related assignments as necessary

Essential Functions / Working Conditions:

• Strong communication skills to warmly engage with guests and team members
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to grasp and reach overhead
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs
• Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day
