OverviewJoin our Maintenance Dept - Hereford FacilityThere are a variety of roles within this title such as Mechanics of different skill levels for the maintenance technician which may include hydraulics, electronics, and welding.  Maintenance technicians responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining and ensuring that the facility and its' equipment are running efficiently.While performing the duties the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. The employee must work with chemicals and solvents and have the ability to operate moving vehicles. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, work in confined spaces, work in elevated platforms, the use of stairs and ladders, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility. (Not an all-inclusive list) MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERNIGHT AND WEEKENDS.  ResponsibilitiesMay operate heavy machineryUse a variety of tools in order to repair, retrieve and maintain all equipment in working orderConduct daily set-up of area and troubleshootWorking around or with machinery and power sources such as electricityEnsuring safety, food safety, and qualityCleanliness and housekeepingMaintaining a safe working environmentQualificationsCommunication skills - read and writeAbility to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionKnowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjectsWillingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMATValid Driver's License requiredPrevious experience preferred - willing to train right candidateGood work history -
