Maintenance Electrician

Description The GardenCore Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring proper electrical functioning of plant equipment and machinery, troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, and completing appropriate repairs and maintenance at multi-site locations. The role requires willingness to travel as needed. Job Type Full-time Job Responsibilities Maintain and repair all existing electrical equipment in the production areas Prior Allen Bradley experience preferred Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment Perform mechanical tasks as directed by supervisor Prepare maintenance reports for management as directed Maintain strict documentation of plant electrical circuitry Provide general lead electrician support Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss issues with other facility personnel Replace or repair faulty electrical components of machines Calibrate and adjust all electrical/electronic equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications Do minor programming and maintenance for programmable logic controller-based equipment Maintain proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work Order parts as needed and create purchase orders Willing to travel to multiple sites, special projects, etc. Requirements Associate’s degree or completion of technical school and apprenticeship program or equivalent in training, experience and education Master Electrician license required Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in electrical support functions Must have been employed as an electrician or electrician apprentice within the past 18 months Knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical operations and components Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints Working knowledge of three-phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, and National Electrical Code Ability to lift, push or pull up to 70 pounds Requires climbing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and twisting Able to use tools and equipment to repair and provide maintenance while standing, crouching, stretching, extending extremities and under extreme work environments Compensation $31.32 per hour 401(k) plan / group retirement savings program Short-term and long-term disability benefits Life insurance Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Paid holidays What GardenCore Offers You Highly competitive base pay Comprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs Group retirement savings program An inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About GardenCore GardenCore is a leading U.S. manufacturer of lawn and garden consumables, offering a broad portfolio of mulch, soil, stone, and lime products.
