Join us!Purpose of Job:The Manager, Warehouse is responsible for all inventory movement in Distributorship’s warehouse including loading and unloading trucks, supervising 2-3 Warehouse Workers, ordering and handling bi products and Econos and processing cores.Job Components :Must be able to perform all warehouse jobs including : Receiving, Putaways, Picking, Replenishments, Packing, Palletizing, and ShippingDirects Warehouse WorkersParticipates and engages team in the practice of continuous process improvementResponsible for implementation of applicable standard operating procedures and accountable for ensuring performance standards are met/exceededManages inventory quality, accuracy and asset protectionDevelops stock location and order picking strategies to optimize work flow, space utilization, and labor productivityEnsures that operations warehouse processes are conducted safely and within the law and applicable compliance standardsProcess inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipmentsPrepares and distributes operational reportsOperates forklift and trains Warehouse Workers in safe and efficient use of sameFollow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the managerQualifications:Minimum 1 year warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/ accounting relationships3 years of general warehouse operations experience.Superior leadership, management, motivation and teamwork skillsStrong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skillsStrong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressureWorking knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing and distribution methodsUnderstanding of state, federal and interstate commerce regulationsWorking knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems requiredStrong training and coaching skillsHave keen understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirementsAbility to operate a motor vehicle and/or forkliftMust have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirementsScope Data:Manages two or more team membersOperate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitudeWork Environment:Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walkSpecific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusBe able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbsExposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicalsExposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicleUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.Note: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
