MRI Technologist (PRN)

Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate MRI imaging and diagnostic procedures with independence and technical expertise. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and performs a variety of imaging tasks to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient care, obtaining clinical histories and ensuring proper identification. Follow procedures for contrast media administration and pre/post-procedural care. Operate MRI equipment, adjust techniques for optimal image quality, and maintain equipment. Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during procedures. Respond to emergencies and evaluate patient conditions for physician intervention. Document procedures accurately and transmit images to PACS promptly. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and restock supplies. Transport and position patients, assist with clerical tasks, and perform routine department duties. Participate in training, quality control, and adhere to regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills Radiologic Technology certification; ARMRIT or ARRT-MR credentials required. Basic Life Support certification required. Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in MRI. Excellent communication, customer service, and ability to work independently under pressure. Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and anatomical knowledge essential. Ability to operate MRI systems, troubleshoot equipment, and follow safety protocols.
