Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Washington, District of Columbia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse located in the region. This role involves providing advanced neonatal care for infants ranging from 23 weeks gestation to four months old. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing neonatal emergencies, including ventilator management, pressors, oscillators, and micro preemies, and will be responsible for delivering critical care in a Level III NICU setting. Job Details Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state or district. NICU experience of at least 3 years, with proficiency in managing vents, oscillators, pressors, and caring for micro preemies. Certifications required: Stable, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS). Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility. On-call required. Responsible for providing assessment and immediate care post-delivery, attending all high-risk deliveries and C-sections, and responding to neonatal emergencies. Perform bedside procedures including IV insertions, intubations, septic workups, and medication administration. Assist in bedside diagnostic procedures and monitor vital signs. Candidates should be stable, self-sufficient, and able to handle complex neonatal cases in a fast-paced environment.
