Wire Assembler
The Wire Assembler installs and connects electrical wiring in control panels by following detailed blueprints and production schedules. This role focuses on accurately routing and terminating wire panel using hand tools while working independently in a clean, climate-controlled environment. The Wire Assembler tracks time against panel production deadlines and ensures all work meets quality and client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Follow panel production schedules and meet established deadlines for completing wiring projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine panel layout, wiring routes, and component placement.
- Assemble and wire electrical panels and components according to client specifications and engineering documentation.
- Connect 300 to 1000 wires per electrical panel while continuously referencing blueprints to ensure accuracy.
- Match and route wires to the correct locations on panels, ensuring proper labeling, alignment, and termination.
- Use small hand tools such as wire crimpers, cutters, and other mechanical assembly tools to prepare and install wiring.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks related to panel construction, including mounting components and organizing harnesses.
- Measure and cut wire accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools to maintain precise lengths and layouts.
- Inspect completed wiring for accuracy, neatness, and compliance with quality standards and safety practices.
- Work independently at an assigned workstation, staying on task and maintaining productivity with minimal supervision.
- Track time and production progress using provided systems, including iPads for attendance and time-off management.
- Collaborate with the assigned team (such as wiring, assembly, or fabrication) to support overall production goals.
- Adhere to attendance, safety, and dress code policies, including proper use of safety glasses and other required protective equipment.
- Earn and support overtime opportunities by consistently meeting performance and production expectations.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in wire assembly and electrical wiring for control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for electrical and panel layouts.
- Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in using hand tools, including wire crimpers, cutters, and other basic mechanical tools.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for cutting and routing wires.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with small blueprints and dense wiring layouts.
- Ability to work independently and stay on task in a production-based environment.
- Effective time management skills to meet production deadlines and performance targets.
- Good hand dexterity for precise wiring, crimping, and assembly work.
- Comfort working in a performance-driven environment where output and quality are closely monitored.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production, assembly, wiring, construction, electrical work, automotive work, or similar hands-on fields.
- Interest in or aptitude for electrical trades, with potential to grow toward an electrical journeyman path.
- Experience working with harnesses and wiring assemblies in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with performance-based production environments and meeting output metrics.
- Ability to follow strict attendance and punctuality requirements.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a designated team such as wiring, assembly, or fabrication.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.26 - $18.26/hr.
