Finance Manager

Finance ManagerHaddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. The Finance Manager will oversee the daily financial operations of the company, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, job costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Responsibilities:Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, and Credit Card ReconciliationsMonitor and review job costing, project budgets, profitability, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reportsPrepare monthly forecasts, profitability studies, expense analyses, and financial reports for managementManage accounts receivable collections and ensure timely customer billing, including AIA billing and requisitionsReview and maintain accurate accounting of project change orders, contracts, lien waivers, bonds, and insurance requirementsWork closely with Project Managers and Purchasing to review budgets, estimates, and project costsPrepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projectionsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and financial reporting requirementsCoordinate with outside accountants and auditors as necessaryOversee payroll processes and coordinate time transfers between ExakTime, Sage, and iSolvedManage and optimize financial systems, including Sage 100 ContractorImprove financial processes, reporting capabilities, and internal workflowsDevelop and maintain Finance Department Standard Operating ProceduresOversee implementation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) programsManage, train, mentor, and develop accounting personnel, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll staffPartner with ownership and management to support company objectives and cost-improvement initiativesOther duties as assigned by the President and CFORequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years of accounting, finance, or construction accounting experienceStrong understanding of job costing and project-based accountingStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controlsProven ability to manage, train, and develop employeesStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive projects to completionProficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting softwareExperience with Sage 100 Contractor preferredExperience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, or other skilled trades preferredDemonstrated record of improving financial performance and operational efficiencyBilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plusCompensation: $90,000 – $110,000 Benefits Include:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysPaid VacationOpportunities for Career Growth and AdvancementPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position Monday – Friday. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
