divh2Distribution Team Lead/h2pThe Distribution Team is the first point of contact for DC staff when the DC Manager is not at the location. This role handles the coordination and preparation of all out-going shipments for each day while ensuring order accuracy and maintaining good customer service. The Team Lead is to assist in directing the storage and handling of products and inventories. The Team Lead is also to ensure that all incoming and outgoing material have proper documentation. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that all Heath, Safety and C-TPAT policies are followed. The Team Lead reports directly to the Distribution Centre Manager./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliResponsible for coordinating activities of DC staff, as well as responding to requests and resolving any conflicts;/liliProvide feedback to the DCM about employee performance issues and feedback to employees through coaching, task observations, performance appraisals and other performance management systems;/liliAssist in implementing performance improvement plans and initiatives;/liliEnsure all orders are shipped on-time and meet IPEX shipment service and quality standards; ulliMonitor Workbench software to prevent service failures/liliAudit shipments to ensure accuracy/liliMonitor productivity and balance workload to expedite customer orders/li/ul/liliAssist in implementation of corporate practices and initiatives (5S, HSE, C-TPAT, etc.);/liliInvestigate and answer customer complaints in accordance to the existing SOP, and communicate feedback to DC employees to ensure that corrective and preventive measures can be taken in the future;/liliResponsible for checking loads to ensure safety and C-TPAT compliance;/liliAssist the DCM in the recruiting and orientation process of new employees./liliResponsible for new hire training;/liliInventory Management for the location/liliCommunicate departmental SOPs and SWPs to staff;/liliContribute to monthly inspections and safety audits;/liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh3Job Requirements/h3pEducation Certificates:/pulliCompletion of a high-school diploma or practical equivalency and several years of working experience in a distribution/warehouse/yard environment./li/ulpTechnical Skills Experience:/pulliMinimum two years in a supervisory role;/liliExcellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills;/liliProficient with computers and Microsoft Office;/liliManagement Development program, WHIMIS, First Aid and knowledge of IPEX products preferred./li/ulh3Competencies/h3ulliEmbrace and Manage Change - Embracing, adapting to, and championing change, including helping others understand what the change means to them./liliBe Customer Obsessed - Developing a deep understanding of customers (internal and external) and demonstrating a commitment to exceeding their expectations./liliDrive Accountability and Results - Accomplishing goals to the highest of standards and driving accountability in self and others in alignment with the values of IPEX NA./liliCollaborate Influence - Building and maintaining effective working relationships, ensuring alignment within and across groups, and using ones understanding of others to gain buy-in and support and achieve shared goals./li/ulh3Key Relationships/h3pInteracts on a daily basis with Sales/Customer Service staff.
