Position: Sr. Architectural Manager and Principal or Associate Principal – Healthcare Studio Location: St. Louis, MO; Chicago, IL Job ID: 3358 # of Openings: 1 Job Overview We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to drive the strategic growth and market leadership of our Healthcare practice. In this role, you will be a senior leader in our growing architectural group with over 90 architects and designers across a dozen offices, building the firm’s Healthcare Studio through design expertise, business development, and stakeholder engagement. What You’ll Do Lead design of key healthcare projects across the firm, collaborating with architecture, engineering, business development, and marketing teams. Support healthcare market strategy in partnership with the Architecture Group and Firm’s strategy to expand Farnsworth Group’s healthcare studio. Build relationships with existing and prospective clients; support development of marketing materials and participate in proposals, interviews, and key presentations. Mentor mid‑ and senior‑level healthcare staff across the country. Contribute to the strategic plan throughout the region. Manage regional business development pursuits, including strategic proposal development and coordination of interior design and architecture professionals to achieve business development and financial goals. Lead and coordinate business development efforts, including market research, client relationship building, lead development, and contract acquisition. Develop and drive marketing plans, budgets, and key performance indicators. Review and approve proposals, reports, and contract documents. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program (Master’s preferred). Registered Architect in Illinois or Missouri (NCARB preferred). 20+ years of experience in architectural design and planning of facilities within core markets. Proven business development experience in the architectural industry, preferably in the Healthcare market. Demonstrated technical expertise and project management, supervisory, and business development experience.
