Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a night shift position covering a full-service hospital including ICU, Open Heart, NICU, and a trauma ED in Georgia.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital setting covering all floors, including a 30-bed ICU, 25-bed Open Heart unit, 25-bed NICU, and a 47-bed/5-trauma bay ED,
• Patient population spans neonates to geriatrics,
• Clinical skills required include ventilator management, BiPAP management, medicated aerosol treatments, open heart respiratory care, intubation, ABG draws and analysis, CPT, nitric oxide therapy, and COVID patient management,
• EMR: Epic (required); ventilator experience required with Servo I, GE, Hamilton, and PB840,
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:00,
• Every other weekend rotation required,
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed,
• No on-call requirements,

Job Requirements

• Active RRT credential required,
• Active Georgia (GA) state RT license required - license required if applicable,
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS,
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience,
• Experience with Epic EMR required,
• Hands-on experience with Servo I, GE, Hamilton, and PB840 ventilators required,
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position,
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration,
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration,

Additional Information

• Scrub color policy: any color is acceptable except all-red or all-navy blue outfits,
• RTO maximum of 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment,
• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off,
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day,
• No special scheduling or shift change requests are permitted - the listed night shift is firm,
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler,
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
