Registered Nurse – CVICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days or Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00 or 19:00–7:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU/CVICU) setting at a Level 1 facility
• Monitor and manage critically ill cardiac surgery patients throughout the perioperative and postoperative continuum
• Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete all required unit-specific orientation modules within the designated orientation week timeframe

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of CSICU/CVICU experience at a Level 1 facility
• EPIC electronic health records charting experience required — no exceptions
• Ability to submit to background review as part of the credentialing process
• Must adhere to facility natural nail policy
• Two professional references required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or surgical ICU environment
