Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiology / IMC (Intermediate Care / PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Cardiology/IMC unit serving adult to geriatric populations
• Manage patients with common diagnoses including STEMI, Non-STEMI, Stroke, Post-Cath, and ETOH-related conditions
• Operate and monitor standard cardiology equipment including telemetry, T-1 monitors, IV pumps, and crash carts
• Document and manage patient care using Cerner EHR
• Charge RN role is required — must be willing and able to serve in a charge capacity
• Float to units of need as expected, including PCU, Medical, Surgical, and Nephrology

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to work in New Mexico
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiology or IMC/Stepdown experience
• BLS certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association
• Completion of required submittal documents: resume, submission form, area-specific competency exam, skills checklist, screening questions, and Cardiology Traveler RN Competency Assessment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of IMC or Cardiology RN experience
• Experience with titrating drips and managing high-acuity cardiac patients
• Familiarity with post-cath care and stroke protocols
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiology or stepdown setting
