Associate Director of Financial Aid

Associate Director of Financial Aid – Dallas Campus The Associate Director of Financial Aid oversees the financial aid operations at a Herzing University Dallas campus and supports the University's mission through administration of financial aid funding for students. This individual works directly with students, providing counseling and assistance on all aspects of the financial aid process. Requirements Bachelor's degree or 5+ years equivalent work experience required; Master’s degree preferred. 3-5 years of Title IV experience required. Compensation Salary range: $62,853 to $85,037. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. Responsibilities Develop plans to achieve consistent KPI achievements in new student enrollment, collections, and student satisfaction. Partner with Admissions leadership as part of the enrollment team to achieve new student start goals and ensure a positive student experience. Partner with Student Affairs leadership to support ongoing student retention efforts on campus. Meet with new students to understand funding needs, guide completion of the FAFSA and required documents, and review eligibility for funding options including Federal Title IV funds, scholarships, state funding, and military funds. Utilize financial aid software to review student documents and eligibility criteria to finalize financial aid awards. Provide gap funding options to students and support them in determining the best option to meet their financial needs and educational goals. Counsel students on financial literacy and wellness topics to educate and encourage responsible borrowing practices. Manage a student caseload, building relationships and supporting students in resolving all matters related to their financial aid funding. Perform regular outreach to students requiring action, including needed documents, loan acceptance, and past‑due balances. Effectively resolve student escalations when they arise. Dedicate efforts to continuous improvement in student satisfaction, financial literacy and wellness, process efficiency, and work accuracy. Foster a positive and supportive environment that is inclusive of all individuals. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. Must be able to occasionally move around the work location. Constantly operates office and/or tech equipment which may include computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visual equipment. Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff, or colleagues face‑to‑face or over the telephone. Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
