About Grey Snow Green Energy Grey Snow Green Energy, a division of Grey Snow Management Solutions, is dedicated to advancing energy technologies and other sustainable energy solutions and innovative training programs. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Maintenance to take operations & maintenance ownership of the physical presentation and operability of our 74-acre site in Watkins, Colorado, and maintain our World-Class notoriety as a leading energy research and testing facility. This individual must be able to commute to the Colorado facility daily. About the Facility SolarTAC is 74 acres and has three (3) specific components/areas; 1. Classic SolarTAC; Large Scale testing and Demonstration of Solar and other technologies area(s). 2. GridNXT; A plug and play microgrid technology testing and demonstration area. 3. Training Center; A new training facility developed to train field personnel on the development, construction and operation of renewable technologies. The Center has two components including outdoor training area and Classroom facility. The Renewable Energy Training Program is a cutting-edge initiative designed to provide comprehensive education and hands-on design, installation and maintenance training of various renewable energy systems, at various scale. While the initial focus is on solar energy systems, the program will expand to include other renewable and energy, storage and microgrid technologies. The first part of the program is part of our broader commitment to fostering energy sovereignty for the Iowa Tribe of Kansas & Nebraska, and other Tribal communities. The second part of the program will be to work directly with industry and other educational organizations to create training programs that affect the long-term viability of the renewable energy industry. Position Summary As Director of Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing the site operations (non-technical) and performing maintenance of all site facilities including buildings, gate/fencing, occupied/unoccupied land, infrastructure, water/pump station, Decathlon House and any facilities or systems as directed by the Executive Director/GM. This role requires a hardworking, strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, experience in field construction activities and maintenance of general site systems and support of constructing and supporting the operation and maintenance of energy systems (with instruction & supervision). Job Description Skills & Qualifications Minimum Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of 15 years of construction and maintenance experience. Renewable energy and/or SolarTAC experience preferred. Interest in a ¾-time schedule preferred. Heavy Equipment Experience a Plus. Ability to speak Spanish a Plus. Understanding of Electrical Power a Plus. Requirements Strong construction and site maintenance knowledge. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse customers, contractors, and stakeholders. Strong field problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Passion for energy and renewable energy. Ability to perform minor electrical, mechanical, structural, dirt work, and general building repairs. Ability and willingness to operate a skid steer, 9,500-lb.-rated telehandler, and trailers up to 12,500 lbs. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to develop computer skills. Experience supervising small maintenance/construction projects, including contractor management, cost control, receipts, quality inspections, and invoices. Ability to take direction, proactively communicate issues, recommend solutions, and deliver results. Ability to complete required monthly and annual fuel tank reports and follow up on action items. Ability and willingness to learn and drive heavy equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities Partner with the SolarTAC Executive Director/GM to ensure the long-term maintenance, safety, and operability of the site. Oversee day-to-day site maintenance, ensuring high standards of appearance, functionality, and customer support. Identify, coordinate, and manage contractors for major repairs, maintenance, and construction projects. Support Training Center operations and maintenance up to 50% of the time. Monitor facility conditions and implement improvements as needed. Support the Executive Director/GM with maintenance and operations budgets, resources, and cost-effective project management. Perform general maintenance, repairs, and on-call duties, including: Snow removal, mowing, weed control, landscaping, road maintenance, grading, and stormwater pond/ditch maintenance. Site, building, parking lot, restroom, and common-area maintenance and cleaning. Minor electrical, mechanical, structural, siding, wall, caulking, and painting repairs. Operation and maintenance of skid steer, telehandler, trailers, and rental equipment. Site event setup, parking, flags, and event/tour preparation. Contractor scheduling, supervision, invoice review, and quality control. Training Center maintenance and resetting of training platforms. Site construction supervision and administrative support. Fuel tank inspections and required state reporting. Fire pump, water storage, fire extinguisher, and related safety inspections. Complete weekly, monthly, and annual site inspections and maintenance activities. Ensure the site is mowed at least three times annually and all areas, facilities, and equipment are inspected at least annually for safety issues. Maintain member sites twice annually and coordinate required equipment and facility maintenance. Provide weekly updates to the Executive Director/GM and ensure timely completion and documentation of maintenance action items. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Salary & Benefits $24 - $35 per hour Work Environment & Expectations The position requires the ability to perform construction-related tasks for a minimum of eight-hour workdays. The employee must be able to stand for extended periods; frequently use their hands to finger, handle, and feel; and reach with their hands and arms. The employee must also be able to frequently push, pull, lift, and maneuver up to 75 pounds, as well as twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb. The ability to walk, stretch, and safely navigate various work environments is required. The position also requires the ability to operate computers and related equipment.
