Material Handler

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

The Material Handler coordinates and expedites the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities. He or she also compiles and maintains manual or computerized records which include but not limited to review production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Communicating inventory needs, and driving 5S activities
• Daily tasks need to be achieved by working with supervisors, employees, and other Line Leaders
• Assist the supervisor in training new employees and the development of existing associates
• Troubleshoot production and flow problems
• Complete maintenance requests as needed
• Monitor and communicate all production measurements within the cells to the associates
• Communicate essential information to the Supervisor daily
• Distribute work, answer questions, train and resolve workflow related questions/issues
• Document work area related information about product, quality and process
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Good planning, organization and communications skills.
• Good computer skills or the interest and ability to pursue and complete pertinent computer training if needed.
• Strong team skills and the ability to handle the demands of multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Flexibility and reliability, including good focus and attendance.
• The ability to work long periods standing up; lift and manipulate heavy loads (up to 60 lbs.).
• Twist, turn, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and walk repetitively, and work with oils, coolants, and lubricants.
• The ability to drive powered lift trucks and be licensed to do so.
• Overhead crane work.
• Must be willing to work overtime, which may include occasional weekends.

Expected Hourly Range: $17.60 – 22.69
