Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for clients and staff in our residential behavioral health program. If you take pride in your craft and want to be part of a team that supports people on their path to recovery, we'd love to hear from you.

- Compensation:
- Prepare all food in accordance with the established menu, special diet plans, and facility standards.
- Ensure meals are served on time with proper temperatures — hot food hot and cold food cold.
- Maintain food quality by using proper cooking temperatures, holding practices, and storage techniques to prevent contamination, spoilage, and waste.
- Assist in menu planning and placing orders for dairy, bakery, produce, and other food items.
- Check menu items three days in advance to confirm availability and prepare food in sufficient quantities for all meals.
- Assist with food preparation for special meals, events, and parties as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, utensils, and food storage spaces; perform weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
- Take daily food and equipment temperatures and complete all daily production records.
- Report broken or damaged equipment to the supervisor promptly.
- Complete monthly departmental in-services and adhere to all infection control policies.
- Demonstrate good working knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and cleaning chemicals.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook.
- Food Handling Certificate/SafeServe certification required.
- Knowledge of standard food service practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to read and follow instructions in English; must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work irregular hours and on-call shifts as needed.
