Position Overview The University of Alabama School of Law seeks to fill up to four tenure-track positions for the 2027-28 academic year, including two positions at the Assistant Professor of Law rank. Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school or an equivalent degree (such as a Ph.D. in a related field). Entry-level candidates should demonstrate potential for strong teaching and scholarship. Areas of Expertise Qualified candidates with expertise in any of the following fields will be considered: criminal law and procedure, contracts, property, civil procedure, consumer law, business law, tax law, intellectual property, and technology/AI. We welcome applications from candidates who approach scholarship from a variety of perspectives and methods.
