Qualifications and Experience Current RN license with at least 2 years of full-time pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience Experience managing high-acuity patients in a Pediatric CVICU setting Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 for ICU, 1:2 for high-acuity, and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU status Valid and current Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular needs Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and initiate interventions according to established care plans Collaborate efficiently with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Vigilantly monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient status with accuracy and urgency Communicate effectively with patients families, offering updates and education as needed Maintain meticulous patient records and adhere strictly to hospital protocols and regulatory requirements This contract position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to providing high-quality pediatric care in a renowned medical center.
