Technical Missile Lead

Technical Missile Lead – Stinger Blk I Production Program Location: Tucson, AZ – This is an onsite role. Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory. Responsibilities Drive execution of work scope as defined in the program schedule and define objectives and technical content for sub‑Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads. Communicate status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed to RTX and program leadership. Provide technical leadership to sub‑IPTs and collaborative partners through undefined situations. Manage engineering support for the production of a legacy Stinger Blk I missile to meet a challenging delivery schedule. Review and/or lead production‑related failure investigations to ensure proper technical rigor and implementation of corrective actions. Perform data collection activities, review and analyze data elements, and provide detailed reports of results. Provide technical direction, expertise, and review for Technical Data Package (TDP) maintenance. Collaborate and effectively communicate with other IPTs, program leadership, customers, and business associates both internally and externally to Raytheon. Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify constraints, risks, and improvement opportunities. Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on capacity growth, technology insertion, infrastructure upgrades, obsolescence mitigation, and future capabilities. Support proposals, business case development, supplier assessments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses. Mentor and guide team members. Collaborate with other IPTs to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts. Qualifications (Required) Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Experience managing a multi‑disciplined Hardware Engineering Team. Experience with technical team and supplier management. Experience using program management tools such as Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended actions. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with the Stinger Blk I Production Program. Excellent presentation and proposal skills. Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to drive technical failure investigations and production resolutions. Experience managing supplier development of complex subsystems. Advanced STEM degree. Active Secret clearance (Department of Defense). 4+ years of experience managing a multi‑disciplined Hardware Engineering Team through the product development lifecycle.
