Client Relationship Manager

Client Relationship Manager Location: Fresno, CA or San Francisco, CA Role Summary The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) position will focus on engaging, building and strengthening the region’s existing client base. The CRM will report to the Director, Senior Client Relationship Manager. Responsibilities Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients and key personnel. Manage the day‑to‑day operations and servicing of group retirement plan clients. Maintain a compliance calendar for each client to ensure timely execution of required annual tasks. Facilitate client and participant inquiries and service requests proactively. Meet with clients (board members, committees, C‑suite executives) to conduct plan review meetings. Prepare meeting materials (plan health reports, investment reviews, plan design, compliance, legislative updates), take post‑review minutes, handle plan amendments and fund changes. Coordinate plan support services (audit support, 5500’s, NDT testing) with the home office to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Engage in client retention and growth objectives within the assigned book of clients. Seek opportunities for client service model enhancements and increasing plan contributions (payroll integration, plan design enhancements, etc.). Work closely with the regional team to coordinate appropriate delivery of MOA services. Collaborate with the Plan Sponsor and Participant Account Specialist to design participant education campaigns. Conduct group education presentations, enrollment presentations and participant 1:1 meetings with employees of a client when needed. Leverage existing client relationships for new opportunities within the region. Attend client events (with regional team) to enhance relationships. Maintain Salesforce (input client contact data, update plan information, manage client tasks). Required Qualifications Excellent business writing, presentation and public speaking skills. Comfortable presenting to groups and C‑suite executives. Client relationship management experience. Ability to handle pressure, prioritize and multitask during a business day. Ability to work flexible hours. Active FINRA Series 6, 63 and SIE or must be obtained within the first year of employment. Active State Life and Health Insurance License (in all states covered) required or obtained within the first year of employment. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Prior work experience in the group retirement plan industry. Knowledge of corporate/group retirement plans (403(b), 401(k), 457) including design, investment monitoring, administration, compliance testing and regulations. Benefits Competitive base salary. Paid time off: 20 days plus two floating personal holidays. Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000.
