These values guide us in providing quality patient care and transforming the lives of our patients.Job Summary: Under the direction of an RN, the LPN provides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including medical treatments, on a variety of rehabilitation and medically complex nursing units, as needed. LPNs are valuable members of the healthcare team at Gaylord Hospital and are exposed to a wide range of clinical experiences and skills.Qualifications: Current CT LPN License required Patient care/healthcare experience preferred but not required American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required WORK SCHEDULE: 24 Hours/Week-Day Shift (7:00am- 3:30pm), every other weekend, holiday rotation Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as: Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes: Continuous telemetry monitoring Ventilator support and weaning LVAD patient population Heart Transplant population Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as: Stroke Complex wounds Telemetry Pulmonary care Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population: Traumatic Brain Injury Stroke Spinal cord InjuryBenefits to working at Gaylord include: 2021, 2022 & 2023 voted top 100 workplaces in CT!
