Family Medicine with Obstetrics Physician

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a 193-bed hospital in central Florida, seeks a BC/BE Family Medicine with Obstetrics physician to join our growing Graduate Medical Education Team. This role features a blend of resident supervision, personal clinical care, and administrative responsibilities within a supportive academic environment. Practice Info 193-bed hospital in central Florida Growing Graduate Medical Education Team Residency program started in July 2024 with 8 residents per program year Practice consists of roughly 70% family medicine and 30% obstetrics with opportunity for OB growth Hospital campus includes a health and wellness center, Inspiration Place for women's health, The Baby Place, 24-hour emergency department, cardiac rehab, robotic surgery capabilities, and a wound care center Responsibilities Provide split schedule of resident supervision, personal clinical, and administrative time Work with Program Director on program accreditation, resident recruitment, rotation scheduling, curriculum development and resident coaching Serve as a member of the program evaluation committee and clinical competency committee Perform additional academic and clinical duties as assigned by the program director Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Model professionalism for residents, medical students and clinical staff Possess excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the EPIC EMR Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas Compensation Competitive base salary Signing bonus & moving expenses Benefits Coverage of board, licensing and DEA fees Excellent health, vision and dental package 26+ days paid days off plus CME time & allowance Occurrence based malpractice - no tail coverage required 403b with match Eligible candidates may qualify for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Shift & Schedule Full time Call will be 1:3 from home or office and one weekend of call a month Qualifications BC/BE Family Medicine with Obstetrics physician Equivalent educational qualifications may be acceptable by the FM Review Committee of the ACGME Ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth Subspecialty boards as required by the ACGME
