Senior Software Engineer (ONSITE)

About the Role Senior Software Engineer at Solipsys, a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace (RTX). The role is onsite in Maple Lawn, MD, and requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance. Responsibilities Design, architect, and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment. Develop innovative new features for real‑time situational awareness command and control (C2) systems. Collaborate with a team to design, architect, and innovate software solutions. Build positive relationships with customers and internal/external stakeholders. Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) for demos, integration, and support. Qualifications 5+ years software development experience with Java or C++ (or 3+ with an advanced degree). Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval. Full lifecycle development experience (requirements, design, development, debugging, testing). Experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS. Multithreaded systems and container orchestration experience preferred.
