Travel Cardiac Stepdown RN - $1,872 per week

Position Overview Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel assignment in Salisbury, North Carolina. The assignment lasts 13 weeks, starting on July 27, 2026, and requires 36 hours per week on overnight 12‑hour shifts. Job Details Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week Shift: 12‑hour nights Employment Type: Travel Weekly Hours: 36 Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Responsibilities Provide inpatient cardiac stepdown care for post‑procedure and pre‑procedure cardiac patients. Initiate IV lines, manage telemetry, and administer cardiac drug drips (Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone). Titrate and monitor cardiac drips as ordered. Document patient status using Epic or other charting systems. Participate in medication safety protocols (Pyxis, SBAR). Assist with admissions and discharges under the direction of the team lead. Respond to rapid events and assist in emergency resuscitations as needed. Required Experience and Skills Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute or stepdown settings. Proficiency with ratio/acuity nursing in cardiac units. IV start, telemetry, cardiac drips, PCI related care. Comfortable working in fast‑paced units. Pass EKG testing before assignment start. Preferred Experience Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar environment. Experience with Epic charting system. Licensure Active NC nursing license or Compact license acceptable. Scheduling Details Alternate weekend shifts every other weekend. Two Monday and two Friday shifts within each six‑week cycle. Return to office can be auto‑approved up to 7 days. Patient Care & Procedures Run and titrate multiple cardiac drips (Cardiazem, Dopamine, Amiodarone). Manage cardiac drips without titration or with titration as required. Provide care to COVID‑positive patients using opti‑flow and BIPAP. Utilize high‑flow O₂ (stable) when indicated. Job Environment and Support Access to Pyxis medication system and Epic charting. Support from a dedicated team lead for admissions, discharges, and credentialing. No block scheduling; units work on an open schedule. Flu vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions allowed).
