We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in a part-time role with the opportunity to grow into full-time as the program develops. And this isn't just another Memory Care OT position. You'll have the opportunity to be part of an exciting pilot involving emerging falls technology, helping us explore how technology and clinical expertise can work together to better identify risk, support intervention, and keep residents safer. You’ll be practicing therapy—and helping us build what comes next. The best OT session might not look like a therapy session. It might look like getting dressed for dinner. Brushing your teeth. Navigating a familiar routine. Participating in an activity. Finding a way to successfully complete something a resident has done their entire life. That's where OT belongs. At Prava, we want therapy to happen where life actually happens. We don't just work bankers' hours. Because residents don't live bankers' hours. For this position, we're particularly interested in the value of evening ADL intervention. Getting ready for dinner. Dressing. Grooming. Toileting. Positioning. Transitioning into the evening. Preparing for bed. These aren't just tasks. They're occupations. And they can be some of the most meaningful therapy opportunities of the day. We don't expect the resident to fit the therapy. We adapt the therapy to the resident. Someone living with dementia may not be able to tell you what's making a task difficult. Maybe the environment is overwhelming. Maybe the routine has changed. Maybe the instructions are too complicated. Maybe the cueing needs to be different. Maybe the task needs to be broken down. Maybe we need to change our approach, not ask the resident to try harder. That's where great OT comes in. And then there's the falls pilot. We're exploring how new technology can help us understand and address fall risk in Memory Care. As part of this role, you'll have an opportunity to participate in the pilot and bring your clinical OT perspective to the work. You’ll help us ask better questions: What are we seeing? What is the resident telling us? What is the environment telling us? What can technology help us see? And most importantly—what do we do with what we learn? This isn't technology replacing clinical judgment. It's technology giving clinicians more information to work with. And you'll be part of figuring out what that looks like in practice. Your role You’ll provide meaningful, occupation-based care to residents living with dementia while collaborating closely with the broader Prava team. You'll have opportunities to: Evaluate residents and develop individualized plans of care Provide skilled OT focused on meaningful occupations Incorporate real-world ADLs and routines into treatment Support evening ADLs and functional participation Address environmental barriers and recommend meaningful adaptations Use cueing, sequencing, compensatory strategies, and environmental modification Partner with caregivers and community teams Participate in the falls technology pilot Help translate emerging technology into practical clinical intervention Build relationships with residents and learn the person behind the diagnosis We're looking for an OT who: Loves working with older adults living with dementia Believes occupation is at the center of OT Gets excited about real-world ADL intervention Is curious about technology and innovation Wants to help shape something new Is patient, creative, observant, and adaptable Builds relationships naturally Believes dignity should never be sacrificed for efficiency Wants to practice clinically and creatively Sees the environment as part of the intervention Maybe you're looking for your next job.
