Personal Care Aide

Overview We are hiring HHAs/PCAs to work one-on-one with in-home patients in Middletown, NY and the surrounding area. We have mornings and overnights available, up to 12 hour shifts. Experience with dementia patients is preferred. Base Pay: $18.10/hour. HHA or PCA certification in NY is required. We offer paid time off (PTO) for 32+ hours worked, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling. Responsibilities 1:1 patient care Provide support with activities of daily living as needed (bathing, grooming, denture care, nail care, pericare, skin care, transfers in/out of bed and chair, toilet assistance) Assist with household tasks as needed to support the patient remaining at home Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager; notify immediately if incidents occur Drive safely for business travel, comply with traffic regulations, and wear seat belts Education And Experience Six months of home care experience preferred PCA or HHA certification in NY required Skills and Qualifications Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient needs Ability to work in diverse home environments with sensitivity to age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills Discretion and confidentiality with patient information Commitment to the goals and philosophy of the organization Adaptability to changing organizational needs Company Overview LHC Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
