You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co-creating the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement. You will join a team delivering business value by ensuring Service and Policy Systems maintain regulatory compliance.Position ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Engineer, you will:Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systemsBuild product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solutionEngage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycleLead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organizationDefine, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspectiveUtilize programming languages like C#, Java, Python or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and servicesMentor other engineersConsistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teamsQualificationsAdvanced programming experience in Duck CreekExperience with C#/.NET, HTML-5, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/react, XML, JSON, RESTful Web Services, and Event Driven ArchitecturesExperience with one additional modern language such as Java, Python, or GO and with open-source software is a plusAdvanced experience within the.NET framework, Including Visual Studio, SQL Server, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and RESTProven understanding of microservices oriented architecture and extensible REST APIsExperience architecting and designing new and current systemsAdvanced understanding of DevOps concepts including Azure DevOps framework and toolsAdvanced understanding of monitoring concepts and toolingAdvanced understanding of security protocols and productsExperience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as codeIn-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithmsStrong problem-solving abilityAbility to excel in a fast-paced environmentArchitecture assessment and proposalsExperience4+ years of Software Development in Duck Creek, CBO, Author, and ManuScript3+ years of professional software development experience within the.NET framework (C# including object-oriented design)3+ years of experience with architecture and design3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud serviceEducationBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experienceAnnual Salary$75,000.00 - $215,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
