Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living while promoting comfort, dignity, independence, and overall well-being. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA provides high-quality care in accordance with individualized care plans, facility policies, and state and federal regulations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to the licensed nurse.
• Measure and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other resident information as assigned.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation using proper safety techniques and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests while providing compassionate, respectful care.
• Accurately document care provided in accordance with facility policies.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality resident outcomes.
• Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, and resident safety guidelines at all times.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, and quality of life through compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to compassionate resident care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate reliability.
