Senior Environmental Planner

Your Opportunity Stantec's Hawaii offices are hiring a full-time or part-time Associate Level Senior Environmental Planner. As a Senior Environmental Planner you will work in a dynamic team environment with other environmental planners, engineers, environmental scientists, ecologists, and regulatory experts with a high capacity for growth. This position will include opportunities for primarily office work; some field work and travel for meetings and conferences will be required. Your Key Responsibilities Manage the preparation of environmental compliance documents (Hawaii Environmental Quality Act/ National Environmental Policy Act [HEPA/ NEPA]). Manage preparation of various environmental constraints analyses, land use entitlement reviews, as well as environmental plans and strategies required for construction and planning projects. Contribute to business development activities, including proposals (budget development and proposal writing) and relationship building with existing and prospective clients. Lead and/or assist with all aspects of a project, including client contact, budget control and invoicing, schedule, personnel allocation/planning, public interest facilitation, technical approach, and subcontractor involvement. Coordinate with clients, regulatory/resource agencies, local governments. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously as the client’s representative. Adherence to the approved scope, budget and schedule are imperative. Conduct and direct desktop and field research, impact analyses, and prepare technical documentation. Oversight of staff during work execution and/or field programs. Complete quality review of staff prepared deliverables (e.g., technical reports). Mentor junior staff.
