Job Description AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer in San Francisco, CA: Perform technical calculations and design, understand project requirements and the effort required to complete work, and apply critical thinking to quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution Perform engineering assignments by applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to project tasks Utilize sound judgment and an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities through assigned work Exercise discretion in refining work details and making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids to support project needs Research and apply building codes, regulations, and industry requirements Prepare electrical design calculations and utilize electrical and lighting design software Support electrical engineering design activities on assigned projects Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule Ensure discipline-specific plans meet overall project requirements for scope and schedule Stay current with codes and technologies relevant to electrical, telecom, and security systems Ensure design and construction documents conform to standards, established practices, applicable codes, and technical requirements Develop designs within a BIM environment Complete assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client criteria and applicable codes and standards 30% domestic travel required Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week Qualifications Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Development Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Design Professional, or in a related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Development Engineering, or a related field of study and 1 year of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Design Professional, or in a related occupation.
