Mathematics and Statistics Temporary Pool

The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Digital Forensics at Commonwealth University seeks individuals to serve as either full-time or part-time temporary faculty at the Bloomsburg, Clearfield, Lock Haven, or Mansfield campuses. Qualified applicants will be included in a "pool" of individuals which will be used to fill classroom teaching assignments as the need arises.

Duties - Teaching introductory mathematics and statistics courses such as: Mathematical Thinking, Critical Reasoning, College Algebra, Precalculus, Introduction to Statistics, Mathematics for the Health Sciences, and Finite Mathematics. If full-time, one semester vacancies arise within the department, the normal full-time teaching load is 12 credit hours of instruction per-semester.

Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred) - An earned Master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics, OR an earned Master's degree in Computer Science with at least 30 credits of graduate level mathematics courses, OR an earned Master's degree in a related field with at least 30 credits of graduate level mathematics courses. The ability to communicate well, a strong commitment to teaching, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
