Medical Assistant

*Job Description - Medical Assistant*
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role as part of the care team, supporting patient flow and ensuring efficient clinical operations. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care activities, assisting providers during exams and procedures, and delivering high-quality patient support.
*Key Responsibilities:*

* Room patients, obtain vital signs, and collect brief medical histories
* Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
* Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with clinical procedures as needed
* Ensure patient records are up to date for provider review
* Carry out provider-directed tasks following patient visits
* Support patient flow to maintain an organized and efficient clinic environment
* Provide education to patients on managing chronic conditions, including diabetes and asthma, under provider guidance
* Work closely with patients to encourage self-management and adherence to care plans

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
