Warehouse AssociateAerotek is hiring for warehouse associates. This Warehouse Associate position supports the production of front-end loaders and smaller tractor equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Statesville, NC. The role focuses on material handling, kitting, picking and packing parts, and moving components efficiently and safely to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for pay increases and long-term growth.Responsibilities include:Transfer materials manually by hand, using a manual pallet jack, or operating lifting devices attached to a hoist as defined in standard work instructions.Unload and stack material by raising and lowering a lifting device attached to a hoist.Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices by hand as needed.Load parts manually from racks, tubs, and bins in the warehouse onto trays, racks, and kit carts.Follow established routes through the department to accurately load kit carts.Load and unload parts manually from the paint line, ensuring correct handling and flow.Operate tuggers to move materials and parts throughout the warehouse and production areas.Pick, pack, and run parts to designated locations to support production schedules.Use an electronic RF scanner to transact material movements, inventory updates, and order processing.Maintain safety checks on all necessary equipment and report any issues promptly.Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety rules and regulations.Keep aisles, work areas, and walkways clean, organized, and free of obstructions.Assist in the instruction and training of other team members as requested by supervision.Complete preventative maintenance tasks and other duties as directed by Total Production Maintenance.Perform other non-essential duties as assigned by management to support overall warehouse operations.Essential skills include:1–2 years of experience working in warehouse environments.Experience operating pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts in a warehouse setting.Hands-on material handling experience, including loading, unloading, and moving parts and products.Proven ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment under time pressure for extended periods.Experience with picking, packing, order picking, and shipping and receiving activities.Experience with inventory handling and inventory control, including cycle counts and warehouse inventory management.Ability to use RF scanners to perform material transactions and support inventory accuracy.Familiarity with general labor tasks such as packaging, loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the facility.Basic understanding of ERP or logistics systems used to support warehouse operations.High school diploma or equivalent education.Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers in both written and verbal form at a level consistent with completion of high school or equivalent.Ability to follow established methods, procedures, and standard work instructions consistently.Capability to meet medium-duty physical demands, including exerting 21–50 pounds of force occasionally, 11–20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.Additional skills and qualifications include:Previous experience in shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks.Comfort working on feet for the entire shift with frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and squatting.Experience working in a manufacturing or shop environment near moving mechanical parts.Ability to work safely around high noise levels, vibration, and uneven or sloping surfaces.Comfort working in areas with fumes, odors, dusts, mists, and gases while using appropriate personal protective equipment.Ability to assist with training and onboarding of new team members when requested.Flexibility to work additional hours on Fridays and Saturdays as needed to support production demands.Job type and location:This is a contract to hire position based out of Statesville, NC.Pay and benefits:The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
