Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges.
  • Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including attending workshops and staying informed on the latest mental health research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families from diverse backgrounds who have limited access to mental health resources. You will work with clients dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders. Understanding the unique challenges faced by these individuals will be essential in providing effective and empathetic care.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in the field of mental health.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a diverse client base.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling is highly preferred.
  • Experience with community outreach and providing services to underserved populations is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload capacity. In addition to competitive pay, our counselors enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
